Hey everybody, although Xmas day has already gone by, I just thought of this thread. I would love some recommendations of good Christmas albums to play over the holidays. I have two favorites, which I could not choose between, and both are a kick off to the season: John Denver and The Muppets "A Christmas Together" (no kidding, very good music!) and Emmylou Harris´s "Light of the Stable". I am open to almost any style, but I would be inclined to something jazzy. There are plenty on Youtube, but most are smooth jazz and sound too bland and generic.

Happy Holidays!

I don't care much for the beatles but I have always liked this song. the only time I ever listened to it was when it was on tv or the radio though. A rare treat I guess you could say :laugh2:

at the end of the movie "elf" zooey deschanel sings a short verse from auld lang syne and its pretty incredible, it drives me crazy that they didnt do the full song for the soundtrack but she did do this one

This was one of my favorite albums to (try to) play along with as a kid.

And years later he talked me into buying an 11R. :laugh2:

I love to hear these around the holidays. Its what I remember hearing as a kid, around the house and on TV, when Christmas time was magic. :D

There's only one good Christmas album, IMHO.

Not an album but Shelby Lynne does a song called Xmas that is dark, moody and bluesy.
I really like it but I`m a little twisted when it comes to music. LOL
