Ain't it great to check those beautiful maple tops at historiclespauls.com? What a fantastic idea that everybody can upload their own pictures of their own guitars, and enjoy viewing killer guitars from friends.

As you can imagine, Bernard has put a lot of effort into building and maintaining his website, so please help by donating what you can, so he can support it for many years and we can enjoy the free service it offers.

Another very cool resource here! Thanks for posting this, Julio. And yes, worthy of support, just like Burstserial.

You can use the Historic Les Pauls Database to advertise your guitars (or gear on the HLPDB Gear Page) for sale!

Want to sell a guitar? Put "for sale" in the "notes" field.

Looking for a guitar? Search for "for sale".

Sellers make sure your profile is set to "public" or potential buyers can not contact you.
Of course it is free, the account is free and I am not collecting your data (I won't even know who contacts whom).

I've got a new Historic: My very own "hoss designed" guitar!

During a trip to the Gibson facilities in June 2012 I'd got to pick the top wood, color, pickups and tuners.
I went with an R8 with unmatched maple with lots of wild grain under a faded tobacco finish, DiMarzio 36th Anniversary PAFs in double cream and Grovers.

The guitar is nicknamed Faye, because Charlie Daughtry's original burst (top right in the Les Paul Forum banner) was the blueprint for the color and pickups.

Some minor updates were done to the HLPDB as well. Check it out :slash:

We are celebrating 6 years of the HLPDB, with 1,122 registered users and 811 guitars with 2,360 images in our database. The guitars were viewed 633,933 times.

The guitar is also in my new signature :naughty:

Hoss, in honor of the new Brazilian Rosewood inspired theme, and the controversy in Germany going on now, I just uploaded a Brazilian (and one other) that I forgot to add previously. Thanks again for this great site!

Browsing random images:

Guys, did you know you can use this link (with refresh or click on "I'm lucky" / "more p0rn") for random entries in the database.

Historic Les Paul Database

Very cool for those boring meetings or phone calls :)

EDIT: This is no spam, I am not getting anything from reloads or "page impressions".

quick question, the PAF 36ani DiMarzios, am I right in saying DP103 for the neck and DP223 for the bridge?

Correct. They are available in various colors/covers and wiring. These are double cream (not white) 1-conductor.

Update to the Historic Les Paul Database:

Since we were getting so many registrations from spammers lately I added a little quiz question to the registration process of the HLPDB.
I am sure, any new users from this forum will know the answer :)
And I hope the Russians and Chinese or their robots don't...
