Hi,
I found this Greco as a offer from a private seller. I'm not sure which model it could be. The Seller told me that the Greco is a mint collection Series an build around 1978.
The Greco has a ebony fretboard

Is this correct and which model number is it?

Many Thanks
Marcus

Thanks for the quick reply. Can you please tell me how you identify it as a Korean Model?

Greetings

Yes, made in Korea by Cort. I've had both one of those and a 1990 Fujigen made one.

If the price is right and you like it the Corts are very well made too. I thought the pickups weren't very good, but I'm also not the biggest fan of the Fujigen made Screamins either lol. Both have a long tenon neck and as for the rest of the workmanship, the Fujigen may have been a tad better, but It's almost a wash.

The resin fretboard can have some advantages. It cleans easily with mild soap and some water. It's smooth as silk. You never have to oil it. And it's a breeze to refret if you ever need to do that.

I have a Greco Les Paul exactly like this with the resin fingerboard. I figured it was made in South Korea, but oddly it has pots ink stamped labeled "Japan".

Mine had Japanese pots too so some must have gotten those.

These Grecos with the 'open book' headstock are collector's item now since they no longer make them due to legal issues. The newer ones are different shape and also the diamond inlay is different.
