Hello there my Epi LP brothers and sisters! I need a help from all of you proud Epi LP players!
I have Epi LP Standard Plain Top. I JUST LOVE the guitar! BUT I think something is strange on the high strings. I feel something just doesn't sound right at all. Could you please take a listen to this 45 sec video I made and hear for your selves is this normal sound?

I just doubt this is normal, but what do you think?
Thanks so much!

What do you think about the sound? Should I replace the guitar? It's Fender 210 R on clean with the DigiTech Mod, but it's the same regardless the amp.

The tiny piezo speaker in a PC?
Actually no. It's decent Fender 210R amp on clean with DigiTech Mod. I tried it on other amps, but it appears to be the same. I would like to know if I should seek another instrument?

I think it sounds horrid. It doesn't sound to me like a guitar problem, but since the only thing it reminds me of is a child's toy organ...:dunno:

You don't show us what the low strings sound like, what the pickups look like, or anything very helpful. I'm clueless, but here's another bump for you.

This is other guitar. That one I have returned and replaced.
In my mind, you've already proven the problem is not the guitar. What it is, though, I have no clue.

At least I know I DO HAVE a problem. The vendors tried to persuade me there is nothing wrong with the guitar. I will not jump to conclusions and I will have the guitar checked by some experts and play it through best tube amps I can find and see if it sounds like this.

Have you tried any other guitars through your amp?
No because the thing is damn heavy to carry out...!! Before I had some Fender copy but it sounded awful as it was, so I cannot compare them. This Epi is really lovely guitar and everything sounds perfect except solos on high strings like in the video. To me this is absolutely not normal.

The best way to solve a problem like this is to remove the things that could be causing it one by one. In this case, play with a different cable first. Then a different amp. If you're getting the same issue with a totally different cable and amp, then you will know that the problem is in the guitar itself.
