Hi guys,
To play John Petrucci solo's on the Gibson Les Paul, is not always simple!
The Music-Man guitar has 24 frets and the LP has only 22 frets.
When John bend his note on the 24 fret (2 semi-tones), we have to bend it from 22 fret to "26" fret (4 semi tones) -It's hard to be precise but not impossible! (see 3:02)
Although the lots of deferences between the 2 guitars (neck (for playing), pickups (for sound), etc'), I tried to get a similar sound to john, using my mesa/boogie roadster amp, rectifire cabinet & the SM57 mic.
Tell me what you think...
