Mr Bartlett, excuse my ignorance - Re: Rhubarbs question on the refund.

Can you refund direct to the persons Credit Card? I assume -not being a PP member- that Paypal with-hold the Customer CC details from the seller?

Without a Paypal account, how would a refund be made. Thanks.

The only way I accept payment is through paypal, so if you have a paypal account you can pay with a credit card through there, and I can refund through there as well. Sorry for not accepting credit cards directly, but paypal is the easiest way for me to even accept credit cards at all.

I dont's see the lines that show the curves of the top in different spots, like the stewmac plan, are they included? It's difficult to tell from the pics...thank you!

There are no profile top carves shown in cross section like the stew mac plans, but the guitar is shown from the side which gives you all the measurements for bridge height, and all the angles for the top (neck angle, pickup plane, etc.). We decided not to do the stew-mac style because A) it's on the stew mac plans, B) because each top is different and C) because they are virtually useless to most builders. I think drawing the contour lines is the best way to get a decent carved top using the DIY method. which doesn't require any plans.
The side profile carve is clearly shown, complete with recarve. with this information you should have no problem with the top carve layout.:thumb:

No need to apologise for how you run your own business. You'd know better than I. :)

I preordered plans weeks ago. I'm really glad I did, but this little detail being omitted is disappointing:( because A) I don't have a StewMac plan, and didn't intend on buying one, B) there has been much debate/discussion about how inaccurate the StewMac plans are including the top profiles C) there are other builders who wouldn't find them useless.

We have plenty left. These will be a regularly stocked item. These plans will never be digitized by us, and are labeled as not to be reproduced in any way.

Didn't miss anything yet! Pre order ends Monday, even though everyone who ordered theirs up till about noon today have been shipped. So technically they aren't pre-orders anymore. :)

I do feel bad for having omit those details, but I think when you see the plans, and combine them with the method most people use to get the contours you'll find it's easier that you may have thought.
Trouble is that if we gave you exact contours to follow someone would disagree with what we consider the best topcarve and complain about being mislead.
It should also be noted that each top did have a unique carve, so there is no "right" carve, and no "wrong" as long as they conform to the measurement we have included with the plans.
I hope all this makes sense, and I sincerely hope you're not disappointed with the plans.

Great looking plans. I really don't need anymore, but I love it so I'm going to have to order some. BTW nothing wrong with leaving out a few details. Thats what keeps us on our toes.

Well, pre-orders are all shipped. Now the plans will be a regular item in our inventory.
I'm amazed at how popular these became so quickly!
We've just added a bunch of new tops to the website, and we're looking forward to adding more items as we can!
A big thank you to everyone!
