Due to photobucket's policy change I've switched to another host. This has caused me to go through the absurd number of photos stored on my photobucket account to see which I may want to save. I'd forgotten about a bunch of them including this one.

Some years ago a good friend of mine brought me a sack of heads for testing with various calibers. They handled everything very well except for my .45-70 handloads.

I don't reckon I'd be welcome at most public gun ranges. :laugh2:

There was so many ways that thread title could've gone.

I'm actually a little shocked I guessed right on one of them.

:laugh2:

Cops at a gun range?
Loose wild boar at a gun range in Georgia?
Fat nasty trifling hoes at a gun range?
Shooting pig carcasses for ballistics tests at a gun range?

kinda surprised in the past 60 years that's still the defacto expression.

...I like 'Donut Eaters' myself. :D

I've been called everything including a ni@@er, which still confuses me all these years later. But pig gets tossed out there every once in awhile. The odd thing is everyone who's ever called me that always said it with venom like they were going for the big guns. Really odd.

I haven't heard po-po in a long time now. I hate that phrase.

Here's a between the eyes hit with a 300 gr. solid copper hollow point running at nuke velocity in a Ruger No. 1 in .45-70 Govt. The head was intact prior to this round.

When I was young, that is what they were referred to..as the pigs. But then you could actually go to prison for years for a simple joint.

The odd thing is everyone who's ever called me that always said it with venom like they were going for the big guns.

That is kind of funny, isn't it? Hell, the term was meh back when I was a kid but damned if some people around here, usually lifelong suburbanites living in the city for the first time, don't think they get creativity and rebel points for dredging it up.

I used to be a little self conscious about eating donuts on duty before I realized I was wasting one of the better stereotypes out there. Now I go out of my way to do it and scarf those tasty bastards in front of God and everybody like a goddamn boss! :laugh2:

Reminds me of a story my dad told me around the Rodney King stuff... He had arrested a black man, who decided it would be a good idea to just go limp so he had to be dragged across the asphalt. Well, everyone in the projects is seeing this and one of the other cops say something to the effect of, "Damn it! Look at this crowd, and just after Rodney King!"

My dad's partner was a black man and said, "Well then I'll do it! Let them complain about racism now!" and proceeded to drag the suspect across the asphalt because he still refused to just get up and walk. My dad's partner got SO much abuse for that. Everyone in the projects was yelling at him and screaming "Uncle Tom." It's really sad how much animosity there was towards him. He became a cop to make his community safer, and they all turned on him just because he had a badge.

P.S. Mods, I hope this doesn't fall into the political realm. Just relating a story, but feel free to remove this post if it stirs anything up.

same here . the term is going through a rebirth in this area __ perpetuated by the hoodlum wanna-bees . they want to stay on the streets

little do they understand , the best criminals wear suits and ties . are well educated . and don't need to throw around cheap slang , to appear " cool "

___________________

a little side note about this area . we were best known several years ago , for the " Kids for Cash " scandal . made nationwide news . what didn't make the news was the aftermath

more than half of the people that received cash awards from that case __ died almost immediately , after receiving their settlements . from drug overdoses . go figure
