Wondered if the knowledge base could chime in on when we find pickups and inform as to what is right/wrong with them. For example I found these T-tops in U.K. to my untrained eye thing that jars is the very shiny pole screws popping through compared to the very oxidised bases. This isn’t about calling sellers out, but a chance to learn for us that lack a great deal of hands on time with vintage stuff.

so my question is are these screws right given everything else looks very aged?

Might someone have replaced them because they were rusty?

Or those pickups may have had gold covers on them originally and someone wanted to put them in a gutiar with nickel or chrome hardware. Your height adjustments screws look newer and shiny as well.
