First thing to check is if the switch is dirty. Rock it back and forth and maybe spray some cleaner in it. Shoot some cleaner in the volume and tone pots too. If that doesn't fix it, check the output jack connection. Pickups rarely just go bad unless there was some kind of damage to them...

Happened to me and it turned out to be a bad pot.
That's my guess. Measure the output of the pickup itself without being attached to a pot. That will tell you if it's a pickup problem or an electronics problem.

The pickup leads (if there are two of them) are the beginning and end of the coils. If there are 4, typically there will be 2 that either are connected and taped, or they will go to switches for coil tapping or other operations. These will need to be connected for the reading if this is the case.

If you are getting other readings than the right one, and consistently, then it is the pickup itself. There is almost no troubleshooting that can be done, nor can there be any fixing except with a rewind.
If it is a production pickup, its best just to buy a new one. A custom wind can be sent back to the seller to get rewound to original spec.

Its a single braided wire lead pickup, As I wrote above I did take it out, I took the tape off the outer edges unscrewed the bobbins checked all connections everything looked good so it has to be deeper in one of the windings, Its going for a rewind , I'm just not sure where to take /send it.
