Hey guys, I just bought the Winona that was in the Classifieds. Can anyone with a Duophonic, Blackdaisy, etc. with the 2 channels tell me can you use a ABY box and run both channels together?

but i do use the simple morley ABY box

and there are way better boxes out there than the morley, but i had 1 at the house

so what ya think of your new amp.

I need speaker help/suggestions for my Corona that is going to be built. For whatever reason I have decided that I want a 2x10 for this. I have been looking at the Weber Cali's or the Weber DT's. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I think I'm going to get an unfinished cab from TRM and support my home state. I figure staining is easier than tolex and if I f@&k up the stain, well I guess I'll try my hand with tolex lol

i own a trm head. local guy, local wood, local $ staying in my state.

he makes a great product and is easy to deal with
i want a 2 x 12 verticle he sells.

from my experiece go with a gel stain
way easier to work with
a rag and gloves and your applying the finish

I have the Morley one also, nothing special but it gets the job done. The amp was just shipped this morning so I'll report back in a while when it shows up.

I have a duophonic, you can run both channels at once. I've done it with my Morley aby

That looks like the DC 5 watt you snuck from me off of eBay .

Calis are great for big and clean. I have only tried my 15", and I think I'd like to swap it for a 12" some time. Pretty classic, safe choice for the Corona.

Beware though. Once you start turning up that Corona, great things happen, and you may rethink this "clean only" thing... Super smooth, rich, creamy overdrive. Kinda distortion that I'd like to put in my coffee. Mmm...

Excellent. I've been eyeing those for a while, not that I need two more DTs. You'll have to get back to us with your experience. Like I say, I love them, but I find that generally speaking in this world in order for one person to love something, another must hate it. The DTs are very much what they are. If you like what they are, then awesome. If you don't, you may really not like them.

I hope you feel similar to how I do.

I use the Radial Big Shot ABY and it does the job too. Also, if you are in a pinch, 2 guitarists can play through the one amp too (or one guitar - one mic, etc...)

I think he bought it from that guy that blew in here trying to sell it on his first forum post. Besides they are two different amps. The Winona is DC/Matchless 2xEL34 18w amp and the Duophonic is a Corona/JTM 2x6V6 22w amp.

I did buy that one yeah. The Winona I got is 6V6 Daisycutter/Blackface so these would be similar amps. Oh well, just leave's this one for someone else to grab and enjoy!

So I have been so stoked with the my AFD8 that my DC hasn't gotten any love lately. So whats a guy to do? I plugged in my lester and was quickly reminded why I will be a Phaez head forever. The DC is, in my opinion, perfect balls to the wall amp. I am learning earthshine by Rush and my DC is just nailing it. I love how sensitive it is to my pick attack, I actually think about that now.

My AFD is cool and all, but my favorite is still my DC. I picked up the AFD to satisfy my 80's metal tones, and it does that, and it does that quite well. The AFD8 however shines with my p90 Lester. And that amigos was a very pleasant surprise.

They both do classic rock in spades, just roll the volume on my Lester and all the sensitivity and dynamics are all still there, great great great!

So yeah, I am happy....
