What d'ya think of these? My local shop has ordered them in for me to try out when I try out a new amp (Vox AC15C1) next week.

OD: Ibanez TS9 classic Tubescreamer
Reverb: Line 6 Tonecore Verbzilla
Delay: TC Flashback
Loop: Boss RC-3

Would any of you recommend any other pedals in any of these categories? And is there any other type of Pedal you guys would also recommend?

Cheers.

In the OD section I'd recommend a variety. I kind of am dirt-obsessed so I've tried a lot of things. Admittedly I don't own an AC15 though. I'd still recommend your basic food groups. Something Tubescreamer-based for a boost, something low-gain, something medium-gain, and something high-gain.

Looking at those groups I'd recommend.

Tubescreamer-based boost: Way Huge Green Rhino MkII
Low-gain: BOSS OD-3
Medium-gain: Fulltone OCD
High-gain: MXR '78 Distortion

Those are pedals that should be in almost every guitar store - especially bigger stores.

No board is complete without at least 3 dirts on it IMO ranging from low to medium to high gain and no board is complete without a Tubescreamer or Tubescreamer clone for a lead boost. A Tubescreamer will do so much for you in terms of lead boosts and making you cut through because it will smoothen out the tone and boost your midrange. I have 3 or 4 TS type pedals on my board and I love them to death. But I'm a dirt addict and have 15 overdrives on my board. Most people don't need that many and one or two OD's/Distortions may suit you but I need variety in my life. :laugh2: At the very least I recommend the Tubescreamer plus something medium gain like the Fulltone OCD.

here's my opinion of Tube Screamers. the stock one's are good. But once you start messing with modified ones, or other pedals based on TS but improved you will never go back to a stock TS.

luther drive is one example of an improved TS clone.

Signa Drive is like a TS but it colors your tone less, it's a VERY natural sounding overdrive.

there's dozens of others, not sure if you want to embark on that journey. if a stock TS-9 suits you fine then just stick with that.

With Vox AC15 goes well clean booster and some nice echo, TS is not bad but well opened Vox is better because the end of tail is driving hard. I would get a nice alnico speaker for that amp instead of pile of pedals.
