Yeah, I was in GC and they had the DOD for $25, couldn’t go wrong. For what it is it’s great, but I’ll probably wind up replacing it with something at some point, I’ll give the DOD to my son.

The Charlie Brown is great, it’s an awesome low gain drive and the three band eq makes it great for a base tone when I need to run direct. Just need a new cab simulator. It sounds really good with the gain low and then with the boost of the BoR going into it.

Have a love for some of my DOD pedals. Think about how crazy it would be if we all had boards that held all of our favorite pedals. It would be insane.

Did a gig Friday. My H9 was incredible. The new Harmadillo algo is great. Instead of using a straight verb, I used a pitch factor algo set up for a slap and a delay. It worked glorious. The gig was small so I only brought my JC amps. I was not able to run the huge wet dry wet thing. Next time, I guess (unless I am too lazy to carry my gear). Eventually I am going to get a rocknroller hand crate.

I was at GC last week and checked out a Devi FX Dark Boost. It was doing things that I have always wanted a pedal to do but it was smearing the attack. I think if I bought it and ran in parallel things would be perfect. The question is what pedal do I run it in parallel with. I am thinking a klone clone.

.... more pedals....

I love shopping overdrives. Just 3 weeks ago I bought the Friedman Dirty Shirley Pedal...what an awesome addition to my setup!

Here’s a video I made - I really love that thing!

It is an awesome sounding pedal !!!
I really enjoyed that demo !

I have been always an “amp drive” guy but somehow I slipped into overdrive/distortion pedals...endless world of tones and can’t get enough!!!
Now I have TS9, PlexiTone, AMT B1, and AMT R2... and holding myself from getting more drive pedals !!!

Hey guys! Long time, no talkie. I’m sub’d to this thread and get notified like... twice a year when someone comments

I’d comment more but I went Kemper almost 2 years ago and it killed my PAS. I feel so ashamed.

Here’s my boring “board” pic...

I started playing at a new Church and they run Kempers. It’s awesome, I love playing through that thing. I set it up as a Deluxe Reverb, plug my pedalboard into it and it’s pretty damn close to the tone I get at home. One day I need to get some alone time with it and mess around with the settings some.

Hi my name is Quinn (switchback) and it has been 3 days since my last pedal purchase :wow:

I wanted to start a thread co-founded with Gibsonguitar1988 for us who through deranged rationalization go into a spending frenzy and will no doubt buy the latest pedal instead of paying the bills or spending the savings of hard earned money that was meant for a more favorable purchase only to buy the newest pedal advertised and at a GREAT price no doubt. If I could have back the money I have spent I could have payed off 1/5 of the national debt  ....well maybe not that much but you get the point ........ so chime in and share the love ........ tell us your story :applause:
I hadn’t bought a pedal in 25 years ... until 10 days ago. I have now purchased two in this brief window.

Man, I am freakin out. Is this how it starts??? Has this awful infection — which I have thoroughly enjoyed laughing at here over the years — finally slithered into my bloodstream?

I have to fight this.

Hey all, just checking in to say hello. I don’t get around these parts as often anymore, but I still love this thread and the community within. Social media (Instagram especially) is where I tend to hang out, and Facebook groups occasionally. I’m glad that others have picked up where some of us seniors have left off! That said, I miss Dan, Aly, Ken, Ian, Karl, Mich, etc. I realize that time passes and things change and that I’m nostalgic to a fault, but I remember when this thread was new!

I’m still pedal crazy. My latest purchase was an EQD Plumes which is a hell of a pedal for the price. IMO there is no better overdrive for the money. How they are able to make it for that price is astounding to me. Most of EQD’s stuff is too out there for me but I love the Plumes pedal and I have a Westwood that I love now and again too. The Dunes/Palisades pedals are a little too confusing for me, I like options but not to the point where I can’t settle on a setting that I like the best.

I plan to get some more pedals after Christmas this year. I want to invest in more Strymon stuff, but I also still want an H9 and a DD-500 at some point, just to expand my arsenal of big box pedals. I want to get a 2nd board going and I’ve thought of getting an HX Effects. The HX Stomp is great and I love it, but I only use it for the effects. I got it because of it’s size but I think on another board I’d go with the HX Effects. Right now I have my Timeline and my HX Stomp as my big FX boxes. With Strymon, I’m definitely after a Volante. I also am considering completing a Stryfecta with a Mobius and BigSky. I still love my Timeline, even after the releases of the DD-500/200, the Source Audio stuff, etc. I think it’s a workhorse delay.

I hope everyone has an excellent holiday and that you all are carrying on this thread. New blood is always good. I always say I will try to post more but I’m so out of the loop and there are so many new faces that I feel like a stranger now here. :D

-Austin
