For the last couple of years Ive taught beginning bass at a Girls Rock School. This yr I walked into my class room and they had put a Peavey Windsor head and a Marshall 1960 straight cab in there for a guitar amp. I had never played one of these before and dont know much about it. But after a week of having it in the room and messing around with it. I have to say it was a great sounding amp. You could actually lower the volume way down and get a great crunchy sound out of it. I think it had 4 EL 34s in it so Im assuming it is 100 watts. If these amps are reasonably priced they might be a good choice for someone looking for a good tube head. I played my 1960 Classic Reissue in it every day for an hr or so a day. Its a simple amp, but I could just roll the gtr volume off to clean the sound up.
I had seen a post on here a few weeks ago and someone asked about these amps, I give them a thumbs up. I normally play Mesa's (Triple Rec, Roadster, Subway Rocket) to give you an idea what Im used to using.
