You'd think for $295,000 they'd at least put a decent picture of the thing on there.

Maybe it's really an auction listing for the book?

Provenance would be interesting as I can find no pics of Paul with an early Custom. A few have him playing a white one from Norlin era but mostly he played TS, CS or Lemon Standards.

That is unique Mojo. True Rock'n'Roll historic piece.

Depends on amongst other things who they used to belong to, and who has played them..

It might be a guitar that has also seen recording times with the Free (and or other musicians). Plus the pictures with Kossoff. I mean, it's worth that much because Paul owned it. Plus it's in great condition. I wouldn't purchase it, I'm not into customs nor those pickups, but I believe the guitar is worth that amount.

like buying 10 grand reissues just because gibbons or page strummed 2 chords on it..i think its crazy you could buy a 58/60 for that price..(of the 55 custom i mean )

There are quite a few guitars worth $300K. They are worth what anyone's willing to pay.

However I'm not sure the guitar in question is worth anything like that much. It doesn't have the same cachet as a guitar that was publicly played by Kossoff, but it is priced as if it was. IMHO.

Because those are a dime a dozen after all, right?

However, I agree that $300,000 is too much, unless he's got undeniable proof it was Kossoff's

I guess you would not like the price, if Jimmy Page's #1 or #2 should ever be put up for sale..

Only commenting on the fact that there were and are less than a thousand original Customs before the switch to 3 humbuckers. The phrase "just another Custom" seemed a little off considering there were more 'Bursts.

I gotcha, tho, we're cool!!
