I know that this questions been ask milion and one times but i got diffrent question to ask. But if i was to use auto paint one does the body need to be seal with a sandable sealer be for primer and do i need to use auto primer be for painting it solid color? My second question I get ask to letter guitars and I my self want to put my granmothers name and grandfather name on both guitars using one shot should i wait to do that be for i clear it or after i clear it?

Primers are really based on the final colour you are going to use.
Sanding sealers will fill grain and make the finish smooth however you can just shoot several clear coats, sanding in between to get the same result then follow with your colour etc.
Clear is your finial step after all the colours, images, script,etc are finished.
Shoot 2 coats of clear, sand back to level and then shoot a couple more sanding in between, buff and polish and you should be good.

Thanks fo for the info I pland to do old scrip by hand with one shot would u still follow it up and seal it with clear coat
