P90 question...

so.... has anyone taken a soap bar p90 and replaced the bottom plate to make it a dog ear?? Or am I thinking crazy.

Slap's right, as long as the lead, or ground, isn't soldered to the baseplate it's "plug-n-play."

only reason I do it though is if the soap bar is just floating around under the dogear cover on it's pat malone not a screw in sight.
I like to have my P90s mounted directly to the body so if I can I'll just throw 2 soap bar screws through it.
Mostly cause it's a pain in the arse for me to find dog ear covers

Same issue hear. It was cheaper for me to buy a gfs dogear p90 and use the base plate from it. I also got a bobbin, a2 magnets and winding wire left over.

yeah well I know it's just their shipping calculators
seen the all parts one too but the allparts aust dealer doesn't stock the dogear baseplates
i have a source though i think ...
