After doing some handy internets work, I've decided for 100% that I'm going to convert
mine into an Overam. Finally this thing will get some use as something!!

Did you locate the adapter ? Anxious to see it! Please post some pics ! Thanks

NOpe the adapter is definitely "off market". They don't make it anymore. However, it
looks like it's pretty simple to make ourselves and that's what I plan to do.

I got a used Delta RU8 this year and like it a lot. Built strong and well thought out. On the small side for industrial quality.

You can build one, this is my second. It still lacks table in this shot. The slide/ gibs and ways are the only expensive part if you have to buy them.

Nice shop-built example. It does take a good welder to keep everything truly square.

I recommend trying to find a ShopSmith router on one of the sales lists. They are simple and very effective. All they require is the power for the router.

Trying to post a picture- added a picture of my Dupli-Carver- it is built so precisely, it will also copy the detail of something as small and intricate as a logo- but, complete, they are around $1500. I actually have a second one that needs to have new guide bars and the bearings in the uprights- it isn't pretty but with those new parts, it would equal the new one. They are a trial to ship since one element, the crossbar is so long. I have considered selling since I am unlikely to get much use from them, considering every night is a crapshoot on whether I will wake up in the morning. But, that shipping is a bitch- one member was interested in a pickup with meeting half way, but it was when they were attempting to diagnose, and I could not concentrate on anything. I also have a second OPR Shopsmith, but there are similar shipping difficulties finding a decent box- it is in good shape, but may have some light surface rust on the column because of humidity in the basement before I got a second dehumidifier- a little elbow grease and 3M abrasive pads would fix it like new. They are so simple in design that there aren't really parts that appear breakable absent a disastrous event. "Win 45 Mag" got a new style and did some adapting. The factory table is disappointing so mine has a solid phenolic Jessem table and fence assembly ( as expensive as what I paid for the unit 7-8 years ago). But, there is no more stable table out there, and the fence will do anything asked of it. A decent OPR will do so much for a builder that they are worth investing if serious.
