I have a 2004 Gibson Les Paul Standard Premium Plus that I've completely stripped and upgraded.

Upgrades:
Bone nut
TonePro's/Kluson keystone tuners
WCR Darkburst/Crossroads 4-conductor
NOS Sprauge caps
RS Guitarworks 'Superpots'
Alpha Push/Pull Pot
Callaham ABR-1 bridge w/Nashville Conversion Studs
Gibson NOS Historic aluminum tailpiece
Jimmy Page #1 wiring diagram
*Letting the plastic hardware age naturally**

Is there anything really else out there? Can I officially enjoy this 'Tone Master'?:applause: I'm extremely happy with the guitar, so I'm just trying to upgrade to it's full potential with the exception of PAF humbuckers.

You don't mention strap locks. I suggest you checkout Loxx - a fantastic product. Not only incredibly solid, but by far the best looking on the market at the moment.

Other than that, everything else I can think of would be cosmetic - like a custom pickguard or selector switch ring. There are some cool products out there.

Nice upgrades you did. I really like the WCR Darkburst pickups.

Did you wire it '50s style? That would make it complete...

Thanks for the comments guys!

Debating on upgrading the plastic hardware; it can get soooo expensive though.

Check out this page.

Christiane is a German artist that sells a lot of her custom made metal pickguards on Ebay. She's unbelievably reasonable, considering each is a one-of made by hand. They range from about $60 up to about $150, depending on size and how elaborate you would like the design to be. She is amazing!

Here's her spider web made to my custom specs on my Goth LP

First, get strap locks of some kind. The ones in the post above look good. I'm happy with my Shallers. You decide. But note that on all LPs the front strap button is angled with its top facing slightly upward, as you play the guitar standing up with a strap. This means that the guitar's weight is constantly trying to pull the guitar downward and pull the strap from the front button. Without a strap lock, it will eventually succeed in doing this, and your guitar will fall. Strap locks normally come in pairs for both ends of the strap, so your rear strap attachment will be protected too. All brands of these have their pros and cons, so you pick -- but get some of them.

As for plastic parts, there is a guy with screen name "TWANG" on this forum who makes pickguards and the like. He does a good job for a reasonable price. I suggest you PM him before buying any plastic bits.

Thanks for the replies.

I actually have the Schaller strap locks. I completely forgot I even had those since I never play standing up.

The metal hardware looks soooo good! Unfortunately, I'm going for the 'traditional' Les Paul look. The pickup covers along with the bridge and tailpiece are aged. I was going for the Gibson 'NOS' look without the NOS finish of the guitar.
