Just got this yesterday. A big shout out to Jason at Sweetwater.

It’s perfect. I know some guys had issues with the lacquer on the fretboard edges. The certificate shows a date of 7/8/19. When I opened the case, the new nitro smell about knocked me over. WOW.

It plays like a dream. Both volume and tone knobs are very sensitive and have excellent taper all the from 0 to 10. As expected, the amp needs to be turned up a bit. But real good control.

Nice chunky neck. Haven’t measured it, but it’s a very comfortable handful. Good comfortable weight too. I’ve seen the weight all over the place on these from 7 lbs to over 8 lbs. This is right on the middle. I forget the exact number. It’s light to me and is nicely balanced.

It’s just a joy to play.

Congrats on the Junior!

More people seem to be getting Original Collection Les Pauls lately. Do we need an owners' thread for questions, pics, and impressions, like we have for Classics and Traditionals?

They're great, aren't they?
I had to go the Stratosphere route to get one. Grabbed the electronics, plastics and hardware from my '07.

-Still tweaking.

The neck is a tad bit "shouldery" from what I recall of my old '56 (that I've been trying to surreptitiously replace forever), and I'm trying to decide to get used to it, or shave down the shouldery areas (I have those skills). We'll see. Plays great as it is. Nice hunk of wood. Now, if I can just get it to sound like a '56, I'd be in business.

Quick tease pic-

Congratulations Roshy!

From all the NGD posts perhaps an Original Collection thread would be good. I think Gibson hit it out of the park with their 2019's.

Question: would you buy one if it was mis-labeled at a much lower price? Or would you have to inform them. A uh, friend wants to know....yeah, a friend.

To better advise you, I require the link to said guitar.

Riiggghhhtttt....I think I'll keep a lid on where this "hypothetical" Junior is.

Okay, here's the deal. They have a beautiful 2019 Original Series Junior at the Guitar Center on I-635 in Dallas tagged at $999. I asked two different salesdudes if that was correct and they both said yes. It clearly has a tag for a 2019 honeyburst Les Paul Special. The price is $999. For a $1499 guitar! If they haven't caught their mistake yet someone with a healthier bank account than me can get it for a damn good price.
