If I am to order a reissue model of a not-so-old Standard, particularly those from the 2000's model, will it cost me the regular price of the guitar or more likely it will cost 4000's  since it's a custom shop special order? And how long would it take to order the said model? I never get answers from inquiring with them.. Thanks. :D

I know it would be way more practical to buy a used or a new one (stocked) from the market. I'm just curious.. :thumb:

Why not look at the 'traditional' model range as they are essentially reissues of the 2000s standard.

I would reckon you'll need to pay full custom shop price since its time and materials you're taking up regardless of model. I think someone else did it and it was about a 6 month wait and about $2000 on top of the regular price.

May I ask why 2000s models in particular?

I see.. Actually, I am looking for a Faded model of a Standard Honeyburst which has a red cherry finish on the back.. :laugh2: I heard that they were selling faded series before but now they're discontinued. And I think 2005 had their standards faded.. I like how the 2005 faded honeyburst looked like and has a red back on it.. Thanks anyway :thumb:

My advice? Look for, and wait for, the one you want. It will cost you less, and you'll be happier with it. If it doesn't feel right, don't buy it. When it does, jump on it immediately.

If you don't get responses from them, I don't see why you'd even consider it.

My R8 was a custom order, but not for me. The customer is a music industry insider. He paid $4,200. I have no idea how relevant that is seven years later.

FYI, you don't get responses from them because they want you to work with one of their custom shop dealers.
