I was testing some 2016 Trads and Standards.I almost took a traditional home but I didn't like the huge neck(I like slim taper necks)and I don't like the flamed tops and burstbuckers on standards.

Surfing the net I've found that the new classic has all the looks and features that I like, slim taper 60s neck, 57s zebra pickups, plain top...

To buy or not to buy.

:hmm:

it has everything you want in a guitar you say

and you don't know if you want to buy it or not...

what possible reason could there be for not buying right now before someone else buys it?

only thing I can think of is you don't have enough money to buy it?

Where are you finding a 2016 Classic? I can't find them anywhere.

+1 I didn't know there's a 2016 Classic out there.

If you can swing it financially, seriously consider going for it before someone else snags it up.

Looks great, congratulations!

The specs are great as well.

By the photos it looks like the Gibson Les Paul VOS Slash, except for the back color.

I would love a plain top. I'd swap my flame for plain any day

Available in Germany at Session Music Store. Same specs as the 2014 Classic except for the DB-boost-switch. I have a 2014 Classic and it's a very sweet guitar. Love the Honeybursts of the new 2016 lineup.
Here's the Heritage Cherry Sunburst:

Well it's got four knobs so that's a good start :naughty:.

I mean, whoever thought it was an idea to call it a Classic when it had three knobs and a switch? And that's before all the other 'improvements' made over the years.

Seriously though, nice guitar!

At that price and with those specs, they're gonna sell these by the truckload.

I wish the Canadian dollar didn't suck so badly right now. Honestly, that might be the best value for money guitar on the market.

It's weird because I can't see them in the USA stores, only in the European ones.:hmm:

I've got to more expensive LPs including a R7 and this plays and sounds as good as them.

As I said earlier I tested some Traditionals, Standards and some Historics.I didn't buy the Classic because is cheaper(if you don't soud good in a 2K guitar it's not the guitar), I bought it because it has the features that I want on a LP, I don't like flamed tops and most historics have huge necks which is a deal breaker for me.

I was very critical toward 2015 Gibson guitars but this year they are doing a great job!!

Edit: USA store selling them:

Thanks.:thumb:

About the knobs I think I am going to change them.
