Opinion- Which LP should get Slash Seymour Duncan pickups…

Hi,

I’d like to put a set of slash SD pups (black) in one of the below 3 LPs, and am looking for opinions from the community on which one you’d put them in. Opinion can be based on looks, tone, or whatever! Just curious what think.

1. ‘57 Murphy Lab Goldtop
2. 60th anniversary ‘59 kindred burst VOS
3. 60th anniversary ‘59 cherry teaburst Gloss

All 3 currently have the stock custombucker alnico III unpotted pickups. So I am looking to add tonal variety. But if I’m being totally honest looks are also playing a role here haha.
Appreciate any thoughts- or if folks think I should refrain and keep the stock pickups in all 3. Thanks!

I think they would both look and sound badass in that kindred burst '59.

None of the three above it was my call. They're beauties as is.

Bought a used white Epi Studio couple years back that had a zebra set of SD Slash pickups in it along with locking tuners, strap locks and top of the line Epi case. Previous owner had more in upgrades than the original guitar cost.

It sounded AND looked a whole lot better than factory.

I can't say a solid black pup in any of those would look good / enhance what is already there.

This....and do a full setup to make sure it wasn't pickup height or something silly that made them your least favourite sounding.

Sd makes covered slash pups too, if you only want to change sound an not looks, get the nickle covered slash pups

Nice! 3 Les Paul’s with the same pickups is my definition of boring. I would put a double creme Super Distortion and 36th pair in the other burst.

How do you like the pickups? Anything in particular that sticks out to you perhaps, or styles of music they do better with compared to the custom buckers in guitar?
