One thing Fender does much better than Gibson

Yeah, I was gonna say I got a new 2015 LP Deluxe 100 at the "move out the old stock blowout deal" a couple months ago, and I like the new plastic case I think.

I don't "stack" cases all that much it seems, but it's possible the new design case might offer a little better fit for the guitar (maybe).

I hate domed-top cases. I had 4 guitars in the van last night and 3 of them were domed: Collings, Heritage and Gibson.
Fender was flat.

I hate Gibson cases. Their shape also makes them more difficult to store standing up. I store my guitars standing up in a closet, and my Gibsons are the only ones I have to strategically position. If they ever fall over, even in the case, the headstock is at risk of snapping off.

In my experience, cases made by G&G for Fender seem to be better made than Gibson. PRS cases are the best of them all.

In a perfect world, we'd worry more about playing our Les Pauls and less about stacking them. Having said that, I often worry about knocking over the stack of Les Pauls in my bedroom.

I played a strat and my L5 today. The Gibson hollowbody cases are even worse to store! All my guitars are on stands, racks and wall hangers. So case storage really is an issue.

Gibson cases are great for the LP angled neck. They are pricy but the Epiphone case works as good. I don't care what is on the side of it.
