The 215 mentioned above is where I would like to be. I flip flop all over the place. Currently came to my senses yesterday. If I put down the chemical food and break the addiction to it my body will respond in a good way. I’m insulin resistant and been for several years. My heaviest is 250 with the pot belly. You’ve inspired me to get back in the game. I can do it and so can you. Best of luck.
Awesome brother!! Go get it!! Love to hear any updates!!

I'm on the weight loss train, myself. I do intermittent fasting, and make sure to do my cardio fasted (when I wake up, I go like a bat out of hell on the elliptical for an hour, and then another 30 minutes before breaking my fast at noon, to get in 10k steps). Every other night, I do a full body workout with weights. It is slow going, but my goal isn't to lose it fast, it is lasting, lifestyle changes.

A couple years ago, I was eating a chipotle bowl a day, and that's it. No workouts, no nothing, and I got down to 188. My issue was, it wasn't sustainable. I shot back up to like 220 during the pandemic. We switched to remote work, and I wasn't ever moving.

*I should add I'm down to 208 as of this past Friday

I went back to The Doctor yesterday after 5 weeks .. My weight is now 267, I lost 17 lbs in five weeks . She told me that they want more weight off ,, a lot more ,, a ton more ,, a crapload more , a shitload more , Lizzo more , Gary Moore, Less Is More,
Unbelievable what she wants ,, she said that my Body Mass index is currently 37, she needs me to get to 25 !!
That ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,60 lbs folks l
She said it is possible with my exercise and diet and the help of the OZ ,, yup the Ozempic . I am on .25 as of last night ,, next week , she said to move it to .5 . She said that I should see more results with the move up to that setting . Has anyone out there is Backstage land experienced it yet with the OZ stuff ?
I’m carrying the equivalent of 6 Goldtops around with me ,,,, How long do you think it will take to drop 60 ??
If all else fails...

Cracks me up when you see someone with enough food for twelve folks and then they order a Diet Coke.... Hell, may as well get a Super Duper Triple Flappa Lappa Ding Dong Coffee Milkshake...with sprinkles.....

One must learn that a Diet Coke doesn't go all antimatter against three Five Guys Burgers and two large fries...
one day at the restaurant I was working in, a very, very large woman came in and ordered:
A large cheese steak sub, extra extra cheese, mayo
a large fry
a large onion rings
a fried dough, extra butter, extra sugar
a taco

and a diet coke

In my case I've been drinking Diet Coke for so long, I like it better than regular Coke. I really can't even drink a regular Coke ... doesn't taste right and too thick and sticky or something like that.

since I quit drinking in January the extremely few times I've eaten in a restaurant I've ordered a Coke with my meal. I'm surprised at how quickly the first one goes down and am grateful that they usually give a refill no charge. But I have zero desire to imbibe in a Coke any time else.

If you do consistent moderate exercise and cut out the bread/grain/cereal and jack up the protein (and measure your calories to be sure - I use MyFitnessPal), you will get there. I'm down 53 lbs in a year doing just that. I was on a pleateau for the last 5 months, and kept to the program, and now I have broken the plateau and am losing again. It might take 3 or 4 years but the goal is to get to 100 lbs off in total and live to be 100 (I call it the 100 - 100 program )

In January of this year I was in the hospital for the first time in my life with Afib, edema and pneumonia. In feb I was on my way to the clinic to see my local doctor for an update..I had a heart attack at the clinic... 3 days later I was at the UW hospital for open heart surgery (triple by-pass plus a few heart things),,which went well actually..but the recovery time is proving to be as long as they predicted.. Too make matters worse, I was on the table for over 9 hours, I apparently didn't like being strapped in and fought it, Ended up doing damage to the ulnar nerve(funny bone) in my left arm. I still can't hold a chord or even think about playing a guitar and the specialist says this typically takes at least 6 months to heal.

The weight thing. When I arrived at the hospital the doctor asked me how much did I weigh. I said 210..he looked at me and said, try again my weight was 260. It had a LOT to so with AFIB. I am on diuretics now and probably will be till the end.,. but now i weigh 191 and am holding there. It looks like at least a few more months of rehab until I am back to 100%,,

Take it serious guys,,,open heart surgery has not been a picnic in the park. You don't want it!
