Who?

(Twenty years ago I would have not only known who this band is, but also would have known where they were on the charts. I swear to you, I used to be one hep cat!)

Were you a twelve year old girl twenty years ago?

One of the best Local bands we have Scoots
Kelly Jones,s dad Oscar was a legend in these parts, back in the 70's

Kelly had a great musical upbringing
and is a top notch musician:thumb:

Not to mention (IMO) ...a great songwriter. :thumb:

Cowell is the acme of the music industry - he is the triple distilled essence of its evil.

He'll still be living well when this bunch are sucking dicks for spare change.

I agree with this wholeheartedly, he is the Devil and no mistake.

Get ready because Britains Got Talent starts this weekend, another one of Cowells freakshows that will launch some new pathetic retard into the stratosphere because of all the coverage in the moronic tabloids and the publics willingness to accept spoonfed manufactured dog faeces as entertainment posing as the music industry.

I for one will not be watching it. On Saturday night I am at Sheffield Arena watching Joe Bonamassa

Maybe I was...

Of course not! As a proud headbanger, I would have known who they were just to mock at them! Mock, mock, mock! Twenty-five years later, I just don't give a shit anymore. :headbanger:

There's always one sappy, cash-cow sensation appealing to the youngsters for us cultured old farts to whine about.

Personally, I don't care - at a level meeting or even exceeding Rich's WGAS? benchmark.

Can't mock them now, we just sound like grumpy old men.
Call that music? In my day we had real music, like, erm... Jesus Jones and Ned's Atomic Dustbin.

Ha! I have CDs by both of those bands! Probably haven't listened to either since the 90's, but they're packed up somewhere in my collection.

Niall and Liam are Virgos, Zayn and Louis are Capricorns, and Harry is an Aquarius. They range in age from 18 to 20, and in height from 5' 7" to 5' ."

Harry, Liam and Louis have brown hair. Niall is the blond. Zayn has thick black hair. None of them will ever go bald.

I'm surprised that boy bands are making a comeback. I grew up through the first wave of them (which I guess could technically be the second wave, since there were groups like New Edition in the 80's) with NSYNC and The Backstreet Boys, and I remember them being ridiculously popular. They died out though, with Justin Timberlake being the only one that sustained success.

This wave of the fad will die out too - but in the meantime I'll ignore these guys, I heard their single and it wasn't great. If I don't like it, it's not worth my time or energy in getting all mad about it - let the kids have their fun :dude:
