I am listening to CLASSIC Rock and playin with my cat on the stairs. I listened To Rod stewart>Maggie<Every Picture<Stay With Me>.... I want to STOP time. I get Bummed and I think My cat will be DEAD one day. I thought about Jimmy Page passing. Then I shook it off. I love CLASSIC Rock > it gets me EMOTIONAL> I put on Dobioe Gray Drift away And American Pie. Fight the blues with maudlin Rock? I guess.

I jammned on my SG today. So throaty and Full.

Here we are oxidizing and the O-Zone in depletion. It is a CRAZY world. Full of CRAZY Cats. I can't believe I'm 45. All the cliche's are true. I feel a DESPERATION creeping in. Produce something GREAT>REALLY GREAT.

Good stuff, Fezziwig, it's important to get your head together.

I went through a bout of depression years ago. It is hard to deal with. People can't understand why you aren't happy when you appear to have no reason. The hardest part is knowing this is true but feeling like you can't stop feeling that way. If you then go on to see only the flaws in life you will certainly find them-without acknowledging all that is good.

Over the last year, my sister and father-in-law died, the stress on my family was incredible as my wife took it very hard and my sister left us too young at 35 in a far too-tragic manner,

As well, I developed Guillain Barre Syndrome which robbed me of most of my abilities while dealing me a complete full-body neurological pain. It has taken me over a year to get back IMO 70% of my abilities, allowing me to do about 40% of what I used to be able to do with a day.

All this made my former problems seem so minuscule I felt ashamed of 'having' them in the first place.

I hate it when pricks like me tell a sob story and then deliver a message, but dammit-please enjoy life. I had to be beat over the head to learn this. There is a lot to be thankful for, even in tragedy. And if you have a guitar, you probably have a lot more important things in life covered.

Fezzy, like you i tried guitar many times before my 20's// I was way too busy pursuing College Hockey Scholarships, Chasing Women, Drink & Drugging and going to concerts..

While you were running hard in 92, I was following Blind Melon around, moshing, body surfing and getting backstage... Those lads were some cool sukkas. I was partying with them not too long after they got off the road with GnR. It took the death of Shannon Hoon in 1995 for me to commit to guitar. Unfortunately the crushing death of an idol at that time lead to a love Ill have for life... Guitar.
