Doing some fall cleaning. Found a bunch of old products........Lap Top from 2001, couple old flip cell phones, answering machine.......Im keeping the Old Digitech 2101 artist processor I have buried at the bottom. but what should I do with all this old product I don't need anymore? Dang I spent a ton on that stuff once. I just hate throwing it all away. But reality is Its junk now. Completely outdated junk in great shape. What do you do with all your old Tech?

Target practice?

I try to sell digital gear before it's gotten worthless. Mechanical / analog - keep it!
I kinda wish I had kept my iPhone 1, though. It was cool and might be collectable.

If your answering machine is tape-based, some used continuous loops of tape. You could mod it into a tape echo!

Watch it thar.

I still have a 1997 Compaq Armada that my first wife gave me, and my Samsung flip phone. Best shit ever made!

@Uncle Vinnie
I love old stuff. I have a Commodore64k on order, and I just built a Linux server out of old parts that's running really well.

Linux is cool for the old stuff, can breath new life into it.
It sure is a lot more durable than today's stuff, that's for sure.

Goodwill gets it. I get a generous write off for my 1099 form.

Put that stuff on CL and label it as “vintage”.

Watch it rain

1959, you could buy, new, an LP Standard with dual HBs, a Special with dual P-90s, a Marshall JTM-45, a brownface Fender Bandmaster and/or a 5F6A tweed Bassman.

Technology has not meaningfully advanced since.
