by altering the magnetic field of the transformer.. you can create a variac effect.

One of those leads coming down from the chassis to that transformer is carrying high voltage DC from the first filter capacitor. The other end of it is connected to the anode of the 6V6. So it's on the order of 350 VDC, which is quite enough for it to come looking for you when you put your hand in the back to grab that pedal.

Not nice, preciouss, no. No nice at all.

Looks like he converted it to a ferrite field coil speaker.

Problem is there's no such thing as a ferrite field coil. :laugh2: :laugh2:

Someone is selling that on evilbay. Could that be a lethal jolt?
