I'm into Bond, as well as following great movie directors, producers, etc...some of my all time favorites are

Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch, Martin Scorcese, Robert Altman, Sam Peckinpaugh, Speilberg, Paul Anderson, Ridley Scott, and Chris Nolan.

There is a persistant rumor going round on a Nolan fan site, that he is eventually going to do a Bond movie?

Your list is dead on too.

It's interesting you should mention great film directors because if I'm not mistaken Skyfall is directed by Sam Mendes, He won the best director Oscar for American Beauty a few years back. Not sure if there has ever been an Oscar winning director helming a Bond film before or not. Many that have previewed Skyfall are saying this is the best Bond film ever which is pretty cool buzz for us loyal Bond fans.

No one knows agent Fields full name? No peeking.

Red Flametop "Roger Moore...starred in more 007 flicks than anyone else to date."

Well actually no, I got you on a loophole on this one; both Sean Connery and Roger Moore did seven Bond films each before they hung up their Walter PPK's.

A very poor spy when you think of it. Usually by the 10 minute mark of a Bond movie, one of the villains has already referred to him as 007. From Russia With Love actually starts out with the villain killing a Bond double. :D

I'm not qualified to judge a good movie I guess as I like Moore and Bronson, the others are ok too. I grew up with Moore, the movies were colourful 70's style and they had the best villain -Jaws. Now that is a Bond villain!.

Live and Let Die and Moonraker are probably my favs.

Am I the only one that remembers that Bond is a spy, not an assassin?

Wait didn't Bond assassinate the M16 section cheif (<thanks Wikipedia) at the beginning of Casino Royale during the black and white segment? It was his second kill which qualified him for double O status and got him his licence to kill. It sure looked like the work of an assassin but I could be wrong I usually am.

Bond is under MI6, which is secret intelligence. Sure, he does assassinate/kill some people, but his main mission is intelligence/espionage.

Pretty subjective poll. However, for me it's an easy nod to Craig. Craig is all business and pulls it off brilliantly. The performance of some of the other Bond actors require a bit more suspension of disbelief because they don't even get their suits dirty.

I like Lazenby the most, if we follow the books (Oh shit there were books?) he was the most bond like. He had the voice to.
Connery was great but well...

1. Sean Connery
2. Daniel Craig
3. Pierce Brosnan

Honestly, I like Connery and Craig equally. No one has as much charisma or savoir faire as Connery's Bond. But if it came down to a knock down drag out, I'm gonna kill you in hand to hand combat fight, I like the way Craig's Bond has been presented in the films.

This is probably my favorite chase/fight scene from a Bond film.

Sure.

With a License to Kill.

Sorry, but no one's going to sell me on Pierce Brosnan or Roger Moore as a cold blooded killer.

So what you're saying he is an assassin but he cooks and cleans too.

No. An assassins main task is killing people. Bonds main task is finding information. He just happens to get to kill a lot of people when he does it.

Gotta disagree with you on that one, at least in terms of the character on the written page. The Bond most like the one in Fleming's books is Craig hands down, dark, brooding, driven and cold heartedly brutal, but thats just me. And yes I've read most of the original books including the shorts.
