anybody else pick up one of those tele pine bodies for 35 bucks at the show...did not really need it, but it was to cheap not to and the guy selling em was a good salesman. Guess I will be gathering tele parts at the next show.

Would have been nice if he had some one piece Swamp Ash blanks. Would like to build myself a 52 Black Guard Replica :thumb:

I planned on coming to this but some family issues cropped up at the last minute. That may be a good thing, though, or a few extra guitars may have followed me home. I definitely need to get to the fall show.

No I didn't, but I picked up 2 of those tele and strat pick trays, or what ever they were. I just thought they were too cool.

Did anyone happen to see any Jimmy Page signature LPs at this show? :thumb:

Bill Megela and his son, Dave, the Elk Boys (Ray and Lee), Dave, Bob and myself all had a blast with our normal debauchery! Can you say "Players Club"?! LOL!!! It was fun recruiting James and Leo into the mix too!

You guys are the reason I was a mess on Saturday. You are a very very bad influence on me.:)

No, it was a bit weird in what was out there and pricing, but no JP's to be seen. Some good deals on some stuff, and some odd offerings in others.

I agree with you Sam. Pricing was a bit high on most. I didn't see any Page's or any other sigs that I remember.

I didn't do a comprehensive search, but IMO Gretsch's were in season, deals to be had! ...and Heritage guitars were commanding a bit more than I've seen at past shows.

Ozz, are you the guy that had the Epiphones at the end of the table? I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to you, man! How rude of me!
That was me, I've been slammed at work or I would have my pics (and video) up by now. Will do it today I hope.

Brian

PS, great pics Artie, hope you're feeling better!

Our two cents...

We had a great time with the boys and got to meet some new folks. It's always quality and each meet seems to get better. Leo bought a guitar from us and has now been inducted into the hallowed Elk Nation. If he'll send us a picture, I'll tear the cotton off him over on our website. Hung some with Victor and Leumas- a pleasure as always and of course, those dastardly MSSC boys forced us at gunpoint to go out drinking with them...again. BTW, did Matt or Dave tell anyone about the Mexican parking lot brawl? As we drove away, Dr. Davenport looked over at me and just said "Idiots". The Purple Heart award has to go to Artie for braving it out on concrete for three straight days. There's just no finer gentleman out there.

I'd like to give a big thanks to Artie, for coming down and making the show great. The man was hurtin' at times, but he soldiered through it!

Also a BIG thanks to Matt and Dave from MSSC, Ray and Lee from Grinning Elk, and Bill M from Electric City Pickups... Without the support you guys have given us in the past and present, we'd never have such a great booth and great turnout!

A big thanks to Leo (Floyd84) for bringing his awesome collection of guitars, amps, and cases that sweetened the tables! And for providing sound!

And CJ! The workhorse/gear broker! If I ever have to move again, I'm hiring this guy!

Yes, I am the new owner of your Les Paul ( the time warp burst). Thank You Noah. She will now be one of the ECP test guitars, so she will still be at the shows. Those girls violated all of my tele's.LOL :applause:

I can't wait to try those Strat pickups I got, Bill. I'm sure the "bourbon bobbins" or "rumbuckers" or "single malt coils" or whatever you want to call them will fit well in my Am Std, which is my only guitar without any of my own electronics in it - MSSC harness and soon to have ECP pickups. It really needed pickups and I had been neglecting it. This works out perfectly.

I'm presently moving shop so everything I brought back from the Philly show went to my new property and I haven't had a chance to get the Strat up there and install them yet. In the next few weeks I will and I'll give you a proper review then. I did pull them out of the box yesterday, to drool over a bit, and they look top notch!!

What a great show!

Leo won my PAF & Harness giveaway, btw, and MSSC was kind enough to take care of the install for him which involved a little extra work as the harness ended up going into a Classic. Thanks, guys.

Man, I have no clue how they are gonna sound. You can call them shakey coils or blind bill singles. if they sound crappy I'll make you another, PROPER set.
