We talked Vintage Guitars, and Inside Baseball for hours (about
three hours). This was an exceptionally rare treat for me.
Eric Ernest, another fella it was a real pleasure to meet. Thanks for coming out Eric!
I know full well I'm small potatoes in the grand scheme of things, but you all made my weekend.
Oh, fiddle-faddle. You are very important to us, Sam.
We treasured your company.![]()

I think think Jenn had the most fun hanging with you - she keeps mentioning something about you and Canada and cracking up.![]()

I took that Strat to band practice last night and it sounded AWESOME. LOVE IT! I have to run some contact cleaner through the volume pot and maybe the pup selector switch though. That, and I SERIOUSLY need to take a Sharpie and add some side dot markers on the neck - I looked like one of those shoe gazers leaning over my guitar to see the front of the fretboard so I could figure out where the hell I was on the neck.
For anyone else who is reading - I bought a demo Strat from Bill that he put together to showcase his Hendrix Tribute pickups and they are GREAT. Video of the very same guitar in this link:

Rich, get a small drill bit (the size of the dots you want), and drill some shallow holes where you want the dots. Get some black 5 minute epoxy from the hardware store, push it down into the holes and wipe off the excess. Before drilling or applying the epoxy, run a strip of masking tape down the side of the neck. When you're done, rip off the tape. BAM! sidey dots.
It's okay, bud. I'm boring.
Face to face is the REAL deal, I have to find the Eye of the Fezz for Saturday's band practice, my muse is frustration+anger, I'm still giddy. I may have to keep stubbing my toes, give myself paper-cuts, burn my mouth with hot pizza, SOMETHING.
Martin is a solid man, make a great tag-team partner. Just got a PM from KING VASCO! He is coming to Philly next Fall, Damn, the Philly show gets better and better,,,,,,,maybe some more Brits will appear?
