I keep seeing these odd pickups on eBay, and they are always created by a Jerry Sentell, csentell1 on ebay.

I'm just wondering if anybody knows anything about this guy, or has any knowledge, or thoughts on some his designs.

here he is:
eBay My World - csentell1

A strat type with 11 rod magnets?

2-coil (3 rod magnets each) strat pickup?

a 6 coil strat pickup?

I've seen the latter two but that first one... he calls it "magneto" is a new one on me. I guess the idea is to be like a blade with solid coverage of all strings and the space between them at rest.

Anybody else got any odd ones?

Mixing AlNiCo magnets shoulder to shoulder lol

That should create an interesting magnetic field.

I wonder how it would sound.

Oh, and he's quite the patriot :)

Scratching my head on this one:shock:
4 conductor?
I guess you could run the bottom strings out of phase with the top strings:wow:
But I don't think splitting the coils is an option here:laugh2:

any ideas where he's going with this, or am I missing something?
Some interesting pups, though a bit pricey for a gamble at this point.

You're link doesn't work for me... but if this is the strat pickup that's 2 - 3 pole coils on one baseplate... then they are can be wired just like a humbucker... in series, parallel, in phase or out.

As far as what it sounds like... you got me there.
