The originals were Guild's first solid body guitars, made 1964 - 1968...NOT a huge seller, but played by players as diverse as Zal Yanovsky and Muddy Waters...They are solid, thick mahogany body, very good set mahogany necks, much like a '50's Les Paul neck, 2 mini humbuckers and some tricky electronics that give you lots - at least 9 - different sounds. They are now re-issued, and mine is in basic black...

I'm still setting it up and figuring out the combinations, but I can recommend this guitar VERY HIGHLY to anyone wanting a notable guitar that is VERY comfortable, perfectly balanced, and gives you a LOT to play with...and perfect mirror polished frets.

It looks a little odd, but it FEELS like home...

Awesome! I have wanted one since I saw Jeff McDonald of Redd Kross playing an original in the early 90's. :applause:
