And it’s already out for the refret.
That is something you will not regret. I hesitated to re-fret my '55 Junior for a long time because I felt that I should keep it original, but once I had some larger frets installed I realized that I should have done it much sooner. It plays like a new guitar and now sees much more action.

I’ve been agonizing over whether or not to refret that 57 Special I picked up...probably because its cleaner than any of my Juniors. But its not total mint collector condition or anything...and it was previously Grovered.

I need to follow the example here & get it refretted. It sounds too good not to make it play great too.

1955 LPJs are awesome straight into a 50s tweed amp (59 Gibson GA8 in my case). I've had a new nut on mine - don't worry about 100% originality. These are meant to be played. Sorry about the 59 and 60 LPSs that sneaked into the picture:eek2:.

Somebody already “fixed” the lean, but it started leaning again.

I’ll get around to re “fixing” it.
How did they repair the lean and it is failing? Were the 1/2" bushings pulled and replaced with 5/8" or more bushings?

I think they plugged the holes redrilled and put the same bushings back in.....sigh....

Nice, congrats!

I'm getting ready to pounce on a '54 Junior real soon here. I had a '55 that would tear your head off. Damn I miss that guitar!

Enjoy the hell out of that beauty!
