Nut replacment - Rally GL300

Hi guys,

I am new to this great website, and this is my first post so please forgive me for any errors etc!

I want to replace the nut on my Rally GL300 LP. Firstly what size do i need to look for, and what would you guys recommend, bone, Tusq etc?

Also can anyone please recommend a reputable shop/tech to replace guitar pickups in the Stafford (UK) area, i would appreciate the help cheers!

I use the Black Tusq on all of my 3 main electrics. (2 LP's and an Ibanez Iceman)

Will this nut fit my Rally Les paul style guitar, as sometimes Chinese made Les pauls dont have the same fittings as Gibsons/Epiphones etc?

IMO... there is no such thing as a drop in replacement nut. They all need a bit of tweaking to get them just right.

The typical nut for a Gibson in black TUSQ is the PT-6010-00 and an Epiphone is the PT-6060-00. But always take some measurements ahead of time to ensure the best fit.

The replica/copy Lesters rarely take the same nut as a Gibby. I get an oversized one and trim it back to fit. I prefer natural bone myself. Take good measurements for sure before ordering.
