I got an early Christmas present from my folks in the mail today, a set of Skatterbrane Earthbranes with raw nickel covers. My first impression when I opened the box was of very high quality, they look good. I put them in my R8 which already had CTS 500k super pots, PIO caps & 50's wired. They sound great, exactly what I was looking for. They replaced a 25 years old set of Pearly Gates, I'm starting to not like stock Duncan's so much anymore.

You have awesome parents lol. Earthbranes are phenomenal pickups and I don't think they get enough mention anymore. Congrats on a sweet setup

For sure on all :dude:
I'm an only child & at almost 49 years old they still try to spoil me.
Between the Skatters & my Mules in my R9 I'm good to go. My R8 is a dark sounding guitar & the Skatters really bring it alive.

Gorgeous guitar! Congrats on the new pickups. Pearlies are my fave Duncan pickups, but they always wear on my ears after awhile and I swap em out.

After giving them a 25 year test drive I think I'm done with them.
