A few weeks ago I was clicking through the 'tube and stumbled across a phenomenal mandolin player, Chris Thile.
I've been watching videos of him ever since.
Any of you guys here fans or followers of this guy? I guess he's been playing in bands since he was very young. And has been a 'master' of the instrument for a fair number of years now.
He plays everything from bluegrass to Bach on there. I'm loving it.
Here's a few videos for those of you who enjoy him or who would like to check him out.

I really like his bluegrass stuff with this guy, Michael Daves, who is also very talented and on the guitar!

Loved it !! Him and the other guy can really play off each other well, looks like brown liqour is involved and they never misstep a note. Phenoms.

Yes, they really do play well together don't they?
I have seen some videos but, not watched them yet, where he plays with Yo Yo Ma and someone else.
He has had some bands over the years too. Also with great players in them.
Nickel Creek and Punch Brothers are two of the band names I've watched videos of.

I got turned onto this stuff by the band Strength in Numbers. I remember Nickel Creek as well. I should revisit some of those albums.

I keep listening to "Don't think twice"...
I really love his take on it. And there's some great fast runs in there.
