Picked this up today with a softcase for $200. The bridge pickup was upgraded to a Seymour Duncan 59' and the tuners were upgraded to Grovers (at least that's what he said) and it came with a cheapy strap with some dunlop strap-locks.

That's why I mentioned "that's what he said" in reference to upgrading the tuners because I thought it would have come with Grover tuners anyways.

Right on man, HNGD!
$200 for a Custom is a great find if you ask me. I'm not one of the Epi experts though so maybe it's more common than I think.

Great deal, especially with the upgraded pickup. I bet it would sing with a Jazz in the neck too.

Nice score. Seems like the used customs in good condition at GC are going around $350-400, I think they started pricing them higher lately for some reason. Landing one for $200 is great especially with the better pickups.

Great score! My theory is that some higher power knows what gits you are supposed to have. Then that power lists them at a killer price and keeps others at bay until you can obtain them.

Well, it's just a theory...

What he said........

Nice find for 200. I'd have snapped it up in seconds. Was it ebay? CL?

This was a CL find.

I actually didn't buy it for me, one of my buddies was looking for back-up as he gigs his Epi Custom but his budget is pretty tight as he's saving for his wedding and one of my employees is looking for guitar for her boyfriend.

So now the big question is, who gets it?

I have very good luck finding good deals on guitars and enjoy passing on the good deals to help friends and family. I've been able to give a couple of guitars away for free or really cheap....plus I believe that it makes for good karma for me.

The guitar needed a little love as black shows every scratch. So I spent this evening using guitar scratch remover on it and polishing it with some Gibson spray wax. It cleaned-up nicely but it's not a show-piece per se so I'm leaning towards it going to my buddy as it would be perfect for him to gig...plus I enjoy seeing the guitars I find on stage.

Actually, I think the deals of the year have been the Gibson Studio I bought for $420 or the Epi Plus Top I got for $150 with a hard case...or maybe the Gibson Studio Platinum Edition with a PS3 that I got for $500.:)

And I thought I was the guy to ferret out good deals. All those are pretty amazing.

that's a nice deal for $200, but I doubt SD makes a 59FT pickup...:hmm:

Major score! Who wouldn't want to play that for three hours. At that price you can afford a hard case.
