Hi folks,
does anyone know what kind of material was used for the nut in the norlin guitars?

Brass, of course!

actually, black nylon or plastic on my 75 is probably factory. My 76 has bone, and 78 has brass, a common swap in the era.

Brass was a very common after market 'improvement' in the Norlin Era. I dont think any major maker uses bone as standard, but still a common improvement. Whether the original nuts were nylon or plastic during Norlin period I couldnt say. My 75 Custom has a black nut, thats all I can discern visually.

Mostly nylon/plastic, but they changed quite frequently. 68-75 Customs for example had still the same type.

My new acquired 77 Custom has different type than both 78 Pro and 79 Customs i once had.
