Looks great, and I'm not usually a fan of the darker bursts! It seems like there's a lot of variation in most of the finishes from one example to another. My Honeyburst looks almost like an iced tea burst, and another one I played at GC looked like a light burst.

thanks Strat, when i seen it i loved the way it looked, but i played several other guitars while i was there and then played this one and i knew i had to have it. they shot me a really good deal that i couldnt refuse and it went home with me.

Yep, sounds like you are on a fantastic honeymoon. When you get back you can start on pickup replacements, tuner replacements, wiring harnesses and pots replacement. Begin to question if you have the best fingerboard material and wonder if Gibsons quality control has slipped.

If I remember correctly desert burst is rimmed, tobacco burst is the typical tear-drop burst.
