I was looking to get an expert opinion on a guitar I'm interested in, but could not find a fake Gibson thread similar to the Epiphone one elsewhere on MLP. Any reason for that? Maybe there are no fake Gibsons around? 
Anyway, could anyone pass his/her judgement on this 1990 Gibson LP Custom?

I'm on the verge of buying it. Price looks interesting, but I talked to the seller and the certificate is missing, as is the original hardcase.
I have a feeling it's all legit, but you never know...
You will probably not be able to tell with 100% certainty from these pics, but I guess you can spot obvious mistakes (if any). I will be testing the guitar later this week and will do some reading as to how I could spot a fake LP.
