Youit is a little bit bittersweet because I traded my Les Paul Custom for it. I tried about 4 different pickup sets in that guitar and couldn't find the right combination. This was a shame because it was one of the better Les Paul Customs I played in terms of build quality. It had a great sound for really dark heavy stuff but it just sounded muddy to me without a lot of distortion.

So this something I've had my eye on for a long time but was never willing to fork over the cash and couldn't find someone to trade. the top really has to be seen in person to believe however they do tha it looks absolutely amazing. It's a bit flashy of a guitar for my typical taste but man it's a sweet-looking guitar.

Nice!! I love my SC245. I have one of the Limited Edition 57/08 245s. Every time I pick it up I fall in love. Everything about that guitar is perfect. I hope you enjoy yours as much!!!!

This one has the 58/15 pickups with etched logo which I found out after the fact is a good thing. Both pickups are tapped. Very adequate single coil sounds. The humbuckers Are LOUD and very clear. I'm very happy so far. Location of the tone vs volume is messing with me though since it's not like a Gibson.

Glad you are enjoying it. I don't get the "hate" toward PRS and their pickups. I have never tried the 58/15 pickups, but if they are like the 57/08 then I believe you when you say they are clear and loud. The 57/08 has a great SC sound as well. I have never been happier with a "stock" guitar as I am with my PRS'.

The knob placement on the SC245 never bothered me because I was always a super-strat player. BUT, if I am going between my SC245 and SC250, the knob placement is different and it messes me up, lol...

I am Gibson fan to the core but it would be wofully ignorant to say no other guitars cant compare. The PRS sound reminds me alot of a couple of the first chambered bust bucker guitars I had. I'm still trying to get one of them back. Part of the joy in playing and collecting is trying out all kinds of gear. Some guitars are just never right no matter the brand.

As my first PRS, I would agree that from a straight from the factory standpoint in a guitar that has been sitting in its case since birth this PRS is by far the best setup guitar I have ever had other than my master built Jackson.

those 58/15 pickups are excellent. Local store is a PRS dealer. I went down and played a bunch of models a few months back they were all very nice, but a new CU 24 with the 58/15's was just magic. congrats!

I'm extremely happy with it so far. So happy I bought another one .....:) :) ;)

The 58/15 have great response in changing the sound via volume and tone controls. They also lose very little volume in single coil mode. For they have one of the best sounding tapped humbucker sounds. My incoming guitar has the narrow fielf 58/8's.

Rolling off the volume really can go from clean to dirty by itself depending on amp settings and is very sensitive.

There is also a great higher output sound with both numbers on and tapped in middle position.
