A very near mint 1997 ‘57 Historic Reissue Custom and a 2002 Coppertop Studio. The Studio did come with a hard shell case. Store photos.

Wow, you don’t see a copper top Studio every day. What a pair! They look good together.

Happy NGD! Both look awesome. I’ve been obsessed with ebony boards lately. All the guitars I want or recently got have them.

Nice score! I have a ‘97 ‘1968 Custom reissue that’s my favorite in my collection. Would love to get a ‘57 from the same year someday. Yours looks mint.

Yeah they used to make a lot of really great and different unusual Studio models. Used to be a great chance to get something different without spending over 3K. Gibson really needs to wake up on this topic
My understanding is that the Coppertop has a non-weight relieved body. It has the best and most comfortable neck on it of any Studio that I’ve owned.

The Coppertop needs a setup, because the action is higher than I like and I need to restring both guitars through then bridge rather than over.

Why do people keep posting photos of gorgeous black Custom's, right after I have convinced myself that I don't really need one?

Here we go again . . . .

Its worse when you’re already convinced you do need one, but need to sell some guitars first and cant try the one you want lol.

I have a buddy thinking about selling his coppertop studio. Im not in the market but they are cool.
