Thanks jonesy.

Yeah I will take great care of that sweet guitar, cotton. ;)

Straplocks and Gibson Bell are ordered.
I've decided to go with the blank TRC. I like to keep the look plain and simple. Don't want it distract from the natural beauty. ;)
I hope they will be here soon, 'cause I really don't really feel comfortable to play without straplocks. My Cherry slipped out of my strap once 'cause I held the neck upwards while I was playing. Luckily nothing happened. I only had to tighten my grip to catch it. But that was a lesson learned and the next day I got myself a pair of straplocks.

Anyways, I'll put a pic or two up when the bell is there.

Great to hear that new mid-level Tokai's are kicking major arse. I'm a big fan of Edwards, I'm sure this is on the same level. I wonder if it's easier to buy from UK than Japan? I might have to consider a new Tokai vs. trying to sort out old "vintage" Greco, Tokai, Orville, ObG, etc... that is always a crapshoot.
Although I must admit, I've had THREE Epi Elitist's and loved them all but had to sell due to other deals. I miss them dearly and all of the sudden I have my eye on another one...

If your living in Europe it might be easier to buy from the UK, but you gotta be aware that you won't get the correct "open book" headstock. It will look like this.

If you want one with the correct headstock, you should hit member golfredo up. You can also contact him via his website. I bought mine from him and I'm a 100% satisfied customer.

That is beautiful!! Welcome to the club. The stock electronics are meh. I ended up replacing everything on my LS200 Love Rock. Pickups, caps, pots, tailpiece and even the knobs. Mine is a '02, so perhaps the quality of the electronics has improved. The Gibson truss rod cover wasn't an exact fit on mine. One of the crews goes in on an angle and doesn't really thread properly. It's in there tight enough to not come out, but doesn't take much to simply pull it out.

Bought myself a Tokai LS95F a couple of weeks ago (correct headstock). In Europe there are a couple of places where they can be bought.

A'ight, my order came in this morning. The Gibson Bell was a direct fit, as if it was meant to be there.
I'm really happy that I finally could install straplocks. I really didn't feel comfortable without. I installed them using the stock screws, 'cause the ones that came with the Schallers were too big. Strange thing that I didn't worry to put the bigger screws in the Epi but didn't dare doing that on my Tokai!
I had to work the truss rod a bit after I restringed it the other day, 'cause I noticed that the neck had a little backbow. (Maybe because it's tuned in D#, now?)
Lowered the action a bit and now it really plays wonderful.

About how much did this cost you? (If it's not too rude to ask). I'm in the market right now. :)

By the way, she's beautiful!

Thanks!

Well, I'm sorry but I'd rather not talk about the price. I think it would be best if you paid Tokai, Guitar, Gitarren, Springy Sound, Breezysound, Goldstar, Silverstar, Les Paul Reborn, Wraparound a visit. There's a contact form to get in touch with Gottfried (golfredo here on MLP) and a phone number. He's the Tokai distributor here in Germany and he doesn't usually sell to private customers, so I'm sure you can understand that I can't go into details here. It's best to shoot him a mail or give him a call. Well, he actually prefers calls (could be too expensive from the States, though).

Good luck, mates!

Thanks, TokaiUser!

I like the tone that comes out of my Tokai with the MKII pickups. Good pickups is all about your personal taste. If you like 'em they're good, if you don't like 'em they're not good (for you).
I think your friend was talkin' about the '50s wiring. I really can't tell you about the different types of wiring. I haven't messed with it, yet.
I guess that's a question for the tonefreaks section. There's also a usefull sticky about the different wiring methods. Wiring Library

Welcome to the forums, BTW!

Many thanks again for your help!
I like the pickups, no doubt of that! But i like some sounds that 50's Les Paul provide! I will see the link and try that, if i don't like, i'l put that in modern wiring again.

Thanks!
