So I had a modified 2013 LP Classic Custom that I picked up earlier in the year and just never bonded with it. Had an offer from an out of state resident interested in trading his for mine when he came to my area for the holidays. I met up with him this afternoon and after each of us had a chance to go over the other's guitars we agreed to a trade. I brought her home, cleaned her up, put fresh strings on and adjusted the action a bit and I am blown away. She's a 96 Classic Premium and I'm in love at the moment. :) She's my first with an ABR-1 so I'm looking forward to getting well acquainted to see if I can tell any difference (doubtful for me). Anyway, on to the pics...

Pickguard on and some different pickups and you are good to go*

Congrats!

* I like the 500/496 in the solid mahogany guitars, but not in a Paul.

Very nice!
My first NEW Les Paul was a 2000 Classic Plus.
Still have it.

Biggest gripe for me is the snot-green inlays.
A failed attempt at "vintage" cosmetics.
Mine aren't too bad, but it has always bothered me a little.

Your inlays look great!

This was my first experience with ceramic pickups, so the 496/500 came out almost immediately.
And I drilled the headstock for Grovers.
I still love that guitar, despite all the others I own.
