I always wanted a Firebird, but since Gibson wouldn't make lefties, I didn't get to be part of the club. Well Gibson finally got the memo, the HOG got a few lefties, and yesterday was my day! Curt made me a screamin' deal, thanks Curt, or as I call him, Boss. Fun guitars, very resonant, and much better balanced with the new tuners.

Congratulations Steve:applause:. I've always wanted one. I've been eyeballing the new Elliot Easton model.

Thanks guys! To answer, it sound great! A lot of brang, very clear sounding neck pickup. Rick, the HOG is getting an Elliot Easton Tikibird. They expect it in a couple of weeks. I thought about waiting for it, and I did plug in a right handed one. The versatility with the switches is really cool. In the end, I opted for the classic Firebird (I'm a sucker for that sunburst) and wanted something other than standard humbuckers.

I almost forgot to mention, it's only 7.3 lbs. Feels pretty good on my 56 year old shoulder.

Saw one at an English dealers a month ago and didn't pull the trigger, still kicking myself, but I will have one, oh yes, I will have one.

Any more at the HoG, elmo?

I've been thinking about picking one up just to have for when they stop making them. You should bring that to Philly for da lefties to see.

Not a bad idea. My only complaint is the case weighs twice as much as the guitar, and is huge, so a lot to carry around. But I can bring it no problem if anyone is interested. Send me a pm with a phone number, so I can reach you at the show, or let's figure on meeting at the MLP table.

As far as I know, mine was the last one, although Curt expects a lefty Tikibird to arrive in a couple of weeks.

So the tuners on it are lighter than they used to be? Balance was the first thing I thought of when I saw the pic.

I love the way Firebirds look and play though, always have.
