Yeah those had some insane tops! I think because they were trying to compete with PRS at the time.That top and fingerboard reminds me of the old LPDCs. Some of those Double Cuts had tops like this one. But this is a Standard! Absolutely stunning! Nice purchase, IE!
The triburst is a sweet color too! Yeah the sweetwater pics don't do their guitars justice at allI'd thought about getting one of these instead of the GC Tribursts, but I wasn't thrilled with the color in the SW photos. So, I saved a few hundred and got the triburst. But man, that guitar is a real smokeshow. Incredible. The SW pics don't do these justice. I love the mineral markings. If you ever need someone to take it off your hands . . .
I'm really happy with it. It's got a few mineral streaks in it and goes from plain to explosive flame when you turn it in the light. Plays almost as well as my Historics, too. But you've got exactly the lemon I'd want. Those mineral streaks really pull it all together. Congrats on that find.The triburst is a sweet color too!
