A week ago while on vacation I walked into Nanaimo's Long and McQuade and spent an hour trying out various Les Pauls. .. the two that really caught my fancy were a 2019 Traditional and 2019 '50s Standard. . both in Heritage Cherry Sunburst. two days later I went back and grabbed the 50s as it was the one I liked a little bit more.. .. however I was in a hurry and as I went to play it one last time before it was boxed up, I noticed the neck felt different from what I recalled, we then checked the serial ... Ooops I had grabbed the Traditional .. oh well. .. toss that paperwork and start over .

As my co-workers can attest, I then spent the next two days constantly checking the status of the new guitar. It arrived at the depot 500 miles from here at 7:14 am yesterday, and then no updates for the next 35 hours (despite my checking ever few minutes). I finished work and was walking home when I saw the parcel truck halfway up the hill ahead of me. I yelled
"are you Purolator?".
Yes.
"Have you been to xxxxx."
Not yet, but it is on my list. Do you want to grab it now?
In the end he brought it to my house as I already had my hands full

Lily then helped open it and informed me that SHE got to hold it before I did, forgetting I played it last week

Nice, but....you try and buy a guitar from a store, then have it....shipped to you?
