Been away for awhile, Had to step away due to guitar gas!!! I had some USA Gibsons, LP Std, SG, Always missed my Histori’s I’ve had Dozens over the years, Well Got diagnosed with cancer about 5 months and had a successful surgery one month ago and my thinking of life has changed a bit and WTF I’m buying what makes me happy. I’ve always been an R8 guy and love plain tops as no flame was ever good enough and had me chasing the flame. Love this guitar and the aging is ok the sides and back are ok but the top does not look so authentic mostly it’s just lines side to side, overall I’m happy with her.

Glad to hear of your successful story.

Life is indeed short. Enjoy it all the while.

Way to go !!! I am in the exact same situation, and that sweetheart is the least you deserve. Don't stop looking; Get whatever you want.

Guitars, new, used or vintage, are holding their value. I don't buy any of my gear as investments, but it is nice to know that it all will be redeemable when the time comes... meanwhile it's just time to enjoy. :cheers2:

Oh, BTW, I can't see anything wrong with the top of that guitar.

I always write Health to enjoy on these NGD threads as that's what my Irish grandmother always used to say but it seems particularly pertinent this time! Gorgeous guitar!

That aging looks really good! I am not always a fan of ML aging but that one looks like they really nailed it.

Congrats on the guitar, and the good health news!
