Thought I would share this NGD. I am super happy with the way everything turned out.

I put in the order at a M2M event at my local music store which is Chicago Music Exchange and got to pick the serial number.

R0 specs but the body is fully chambered. It has the new 2019 pickups and they are great. Final weight photo is after the metal 60th poker chip was taken off and the plastic was put back on.

I am really in love with this thing but was thinking about painting the Bigsby. What do you all think? Paint it standard Bigsby black or leave it? They were always painted back in the day right?

Awesome, congrats. Really like how the swirled figure complements the Bigsby. And chambered! Hell, yeah...

Conflicted on the black paint. It's more vintage accurate but I like the uniqueness of As-Is.

Give reflectors a try on this, you'll have both!

Enjoy!

I told them when I was picking out the top " just give me your most screwed up, messed up top". They knew what I meant and I think it turned out great. The chambering has made this the ultimate couch guitar, its almost like playing an acoustic unplugged.

To answer davidos questions I got. I put in the order on June 7th and the guitar was delivered on November 7th ( I have been wanting to post this NGD, but you know busy life and all). The original build time was to be about 8 weeks, but as you all have read there has been a lot going on at Gibson CS lately.

Also the idea with this guitar was to match a 1952 conversion I use to own. Conversion pic below.

That looks awesome. I like how the top figure just kind of grabs that Bigsby.

Cool idea you had but I wouldn't paint the Bigsby myself.
